Our Great love towards old architecture is definitely shown along ourwalks

Imagine this: you are visiting old close friends now living in Colombo. They take you on a three hour walk of the inner city and you are introduced to the Dutch Hospital, now turned into a hip restaurant and shopping mall. You leisurely walk passed old buildings which are being renovated to former glory, you see the old shopping plaza Cargill's which will be Raffles Hotel in a few years. Time for tea and butter cake from Grand Oriental Hotel overlooking the busy port. Then cross a few streets and into the craziness of Peta, the old market with its maze of narrow alleys. The "close friends"? Ruvi and Mark from Colombo City Walks. A must-see when you are in town.
